The UCR Career Center and GradSuccess are offering R’Grad Professional Pathways: Summer 2022 Workshop Series for UCR graduate students this summer. This workshop series is designed to familiarize and prepare graduate students with the job search process. Graduate students looking to pursue careers outside of academia are encouraged to apply. Students are expected to commit to all six sessions of the summer workshop series, as each session builds on the previous. 

Dates: Thursdays, July 7^th to August 11^th (6 consecutive weeks)
Time: 1:00pm – 2:15pm
Location: Zoom 

The workshops will be facilitated by Dr. Vanessa Lee, Career Specialist, Graduate Students in the Career Center, and Jason Chou, Graduate Student Resource Center Coordinator in GradSuccess. Guest industry speakers will be invited to key sessions.  

Weekly Schedule

Week 1: Navigating job search engines
Week 2: Translating your academic skills into industry language 
Week 3: Resume and cover letter writing
Week 4: Networking and personal branding
Week 5: Mock interview
Week 6: Navigating job offers
