Supporting Graduate Students' Academic and Professional Success
"After Grad" Professional Development Events
GradSuccess holds multiple professional development days throughout the year that provide opportunities for graduate students to build skills and explore potential career paths. These "After Grad" events are:
Academic Pathways Week, a week of panels and workshops held each Fall, designed to promote preparation and success across your academic career, both in graduate school and as a possible future faculty member.
Career Pathways Week, a week-long event held each Winter that focuses on careers outside the academy. This event is followed by a networking reception in which graduate students may meet with UCR graduate alumni working outside academia.
Teaching Careers Week, a week of events held each Spring devoted to your future in a teaching-focused career, culminating with Teaching Development Day, which focuses on both improving your pedagogical skills and pursuing a career at teaching-oriented institutions.
