These weekly events provide academic, social, physical and professional development support to UCR graduate students.

  • TADP Manager Office Hours

  • GradSuccess Director Office Hours

    Stop by and see the GradSuccess Director, Dawn Loyola! She is available to advise on a variety of graduate school and professional topics, or even if you just need someone to listen. 

    Office hours are Tuesdays from 2-3pm in the University Office Building Room 131 or on Zoom 

     

  • GradQuant Drop In Hours

    During GradQuant drop-in hours, students can talk to GradQuant consultants without an appointment. Bring your statistics or programming questions at your convenience. Offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

    Come to the GSRC/GradQuant program specialist's office hours to see how the GSRC can support you during graduate school or how GradQuant can provide academic assistance, even if you are doing qualitative or mixed-methods research. No appointment necessary.

  • Special Topics Peer Mentors

    Professional Communication & Early Career Development STPM, Camila Alvarez

    Camila

    Camila (she/her) is a fourth-year Ph.D. student in Neuroscience and the special topics peer mentor specializing in Professional Communication and early Career Development. She is part of the DiPatrizio Lab, where she studies the role of the endocannabinoid system in controlling the reward effects of our Western-style diet (high fat, high sucrose). When she is not working in the lab, she likes to go out dancing or roller skating.

    Mental Health and Wellness Resources STPM, Matthew Kersting

    Matthew

    Matthew (he/him) is a third-year Ph.D. student in Psychology and the special topics peer mentor in Mental Health and Wellness. He is a graduate student in the Kids Interaction and Neurodevelopment (KIND) Lab, where he incorporates neuroimaging techniques to study the role of intention and perspective-taking when evaluating and making judgments of moral blameworthiness throughout development and how blameworthiness is judged when actors use indirect means (e.g., intermediaries) to inflict harm on others.

  • Digital Writers' Room

    DURING THE ACADEMIC YEAR ONLY (Fall-Spring)

     

    This two-hour digital writers’ room, hosted via Zoom, fosters a collaborative graduate writing community. Each session includes goal setting, a 90-minute writing session, and a closing check-in.
