The day starts off with a Keynote Address by Dr. Natalie Lundsteen, Assistant Dean for Career and Professional Development in the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences and Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center (UTSW). Dr. Lundsteen will discuss the importance of “soft skills,” in particular, how to build these skills during graduate school, and how to best frame them for potential employers.
There will be a number of hands-on resources throughout the day, including a LinkedIn Photobooth at lunch (12:30-1:30pm) and an Advanced CV to Resume Clinic with Consultants from the Graduate Writing Center. If you want to learn about campus resources available to you as a current student, attend the Campus Career Resources Panel to hear from representatives from Graduate Division/GradSuccess and the Career Center.

This year, confirmed panelists include Dr. Kristen Hayashi (Collections Manager at the Japanese American National Museum), Dr. Jillian Wong (Planning and Rules Manager at SCAQMD), and Dr. Rob Kaiser (President at Stratesci Inc.).
