For all you future PhD recipients who don’t relish the publish-or-perish lifestyle but plan to sell your soul for the mighty dollar, I have great news: Career Pathway’s week can show you the way. We have prepared faculty panels, leader-led workshops, speakers, and FREE FOOD. Did I mention the FREE FOOD: salads, sandwiches, pastries, coffee and snacks?     • UCR Career Center Career Specialist Dr. Vanessa Lee will discuss the basics of resume writing, specifically focusing on effectively communicating information and experience from the standard Curriculum Vitae to a resume.

    • Though it sometimes feels similar to other social media platforms, your LinkedIn is a personal landing page designed to market your skills or perspectives to other professionals and potential employers. In short, our profiles aren't for us but for others. "LinkedIn Labs: Strategic Engagement" is a guided session that helps participants leverage the power of LinkedIn for professional growth and networking. This workshop includes hands-on activities, strategy development, and tips to optimize your LinkedIn experience.  
  • Coffee Social & Mocktail Hour Networking Event
    • Wednesday, February 12, 2025 | 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm | Career Center Patio
    • No registration is necessary. Coffee Social is open to all graduate students and postdocs. Graduate students and postdocs, please visit the Career Center Patio for a special Coffee Social and mocktail Networking Event. There will be free mocktails, coffee, tea, and snacks. Please bring your student ID.
