These weekly events provide academic, social, physical and professional development support to UCR graduate students.

  • Grad R'Pantry Hours - Fall Quarter

    Walk In Hours

    *closed when we have staff pantry*

    Fridays: 10am-12pm & 1pm-4pm

    If you’re in need of emergency food services, R’Pantry is accessible by appointment and can provide basic supplementary foods and hygiene products.

  • Graduate Student Resource Center Coffee Social

    Wednesdays 3-4pm
    Physics Courtyard

    Want to connect with fellow grad students and postdocs? Come and join us in the Physics Courtyard for a weekly Coffee Social where we serve free coffee, tea, and snacks. Each session is sponsored by a campus unit. Please bring your student ID.

  • Digital Writers' Room

    DURING THE ACADEMIC YEAR ONLY (Fall-Spring)

     

    This two-hour digital writers’ room, hosted via Zoom, fosters a collaborative graduate writing community. Each session includes goal setting, a 90-minute writing session, and a closing check-in.

    Whether you're a first-time TA in need of some extra support or an experienced instructor interested in learning more about teaching careers, TA Development Program Coordinator Anne Sullivan  can connect you to advice and resources. No appointment needed.

  • GradSuccess Director Office Hours

    Stop by and see the GradSuccess Director, Dawn Loyola! She is available to advise on a variety of graduate school and professional topics, or even if you just need someone to listen. 

    Office hours are Tuesdays from 2-3pm in the University Office Building Room 131 or on Zoom

     

  • GradQuant/UCR Library Hacky Hours

    Organized by GradQuant & UCR Library, Hacky Hours are open to all members of the UCR research community, including graduate and undergraduate students, postdoctoral researchers, faculty, and staff. Come talk to us about programming, statistics, data management, and more.

  • GradQuant Drop In Hours

    During GradQuant drop-in hours, students can talk to GradQuant consultants without an appointment. Bring your statistics or programming questions at your convenience. Offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • GSRC/GradQuant Program Specialist Office Hours

    GSRC: Thursdays 10:00 AM -10:50 AM Online

    Come to the GSRC/GradQuant program specialist's office hours to see how the GSRC can support you during graduate school or how GradQuant can provide academic assistance, even if you are doing qualitative or mixed-methods research. No appointment necessary.

  • GSA Wellness Liaison Office Hours

    The job search process can be challenging, but you are not alone! Join the Grad Student Job Search Support Group via Zoom to chat with our graduate student career support team about anything related to the job search process, such as the internship search and application process, resume and cover letter questions, how to network, interview tips and any other questions you might have!
